SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK OF CENTRAL FLORIDA HIRES FIRST DEVELOPMENT MANAGER FOR BREVARD COUNTY DISTRIBUTION CENTER
ORLANDO, Fla. (Dec. 16, 2024) – Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida recently welcomed Daniel Zeegers as its first development manager in Brevard County. In this role, Zeegers will work closely to nurture existing business and community relationships while building new partnerships that help continue bringing food – and hope – to local residents.
Zeegers brings more than three decades of experience in education and community engagement, most of that time spent abroad before returning to the United States in 2022, to begin working in the nonprofit sector.
“This new role marks an important step in expanding our presence and impact in Brevard County,” said Derrick Chubbs, President and CEO at Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. “Dan’s passion for addressing food insecurity, coupled with his extensive experience, will be instrumental in strengthening our outreach and making sure families have access to the nutritious foods they need to thrive.”
Zeegers earned a bachelor’s of science in business management from San Diego State University and a master of education from George Mason University.
In September, the food bank expanded operations to a new location in Melbourne.
