Volunteers Help Second Harvest Feed Hope Across Brevard County

Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida recently began welcoming volunteers for the first time at its new Brevard County distribution center.

On Friday, Dec. 6, about a dozen community members signed up to roll up their sleeves and help sort and pack food into boxes for pickup by local partner agencies. Second Harvest is the region’s largest hunger relief network – and the new warehouse at Skway Circle in Melbourne not only increases the food bank’s capacity to secure and store perishable foods and grocery products, but it also provides the community with opportunities to volunteer onsite.
