The Melbourne Regional Chamber is excited to welcome Monica Anderson to the team as Director of Business Development.
Monica came to the Space Coast from Rhode Island, via Orlando. Her expertise in community relations in healthcare and urban revitalization make her a great fit for the Melbourne Regional Chamber of Commerce. In her previous experience, she managed the process for selecting and awarding more than $350,000 in health improvement grant investments, cultivated over 150 partnerships with public and private sectors, led fundraising campaigns generating more than $850,00 for charities including The American Heart Association, American Cancer Society and the Rhode Island Community Foodbank. She also helped coordinate efforts for the first Downtown Improvement District in Providence, Rhode Island and sold the original naming rights sponsorship for the Providence Civic Center for 4.25 million dollars.
In her new role, Monica will work to strengthen our partnership strategy, retention efforts, communications and relationships with our partners and Space Coast community. “I am excited about being a part of the vibrant business community in Melbourne while lending my skills and expertise to the team of professionals at the Melbourne Regional Chamber,” said Monica Anderson. “The opportunity to participate in the advocacy, growth, and impact strategies necessary for ensuring that Melbourne continues to thrive is an invigorating challenge that I look forward to embracing.
