SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK OF CENTRAL FLORIDA WELCOMES NEW DEVELOPMENT MANAGER IN BREVARD COUNTY
MELBOURNE, Fla. (July 15, 2025) – Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida recently hired Rachel Roffman as its new Development Manager in Brevard County. In this role, she will focus on cultivating new partnerships and strengthening community support – specifically by bringing in more volunteers – to help grow the impact of the food bank’s Melbourne distribution center, which serves families at risk of experiencing hunger.
After nearly two decades in financial services operations, Roffman has made a purposeful career shift to the nonprofit sector and looks forward to serving a key role in continuing Second Harvest’s mission.
“Rachel brings a unique blend of professional expertise and personal passion for making a difference,” said Derrick Chubbs, President and CEO at Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. “Her ability to foster strong relationships will be instrumental as we continue expanding our presence in Brevard and working to ensure that more families have access to the nutritious food they need to thrive.”
Roffman earned her Bachelor’s degree from Towson University in Baltimore, Maryland. Since moving to West Melbourne in 2017, she has been involved with nonprofit organizations, including Space Coast Discovery, formerly known as Space Coast Early Intervention Center. Roffman is currently a member of the School Advisory Committee where her children attend.
