Get to know what lead our #spacecoast leader to the Embraer and the vital role she plays in the community. The Embraer Foundation was established in 2017 to coordinate company efforts nationwide. Regarding local communities, Embraer partners with local nonprofit organizations such as Family Promise of Brevard, Promise Inc. and The Women's Center, etc. One of Embraers key pillars is to inspire aviation amongst the youth and focus on developing the next generation of pilots, engineers and technicians. Back in March, Embraer launched the Educational Partnership Program (EPP) where they partnered with six schools, one being Eau Gallie High School. Embraer's goal is to support students that have an interest in aviation as a career and be able to provide internship opportunities to receive hands-on exposure. Not only does Monica play an important role at the Embraer, but also serves on our Diversity, Equity Task Force here at the Melbourne Regional Chamber. Monica’s background has been wrapped in DEI and has a personal passion for it. Monica has also dedicated her time along with her fellow DEI Task Force members in creating the Professional Equity Program. The goal of this program is to provide potential Melbourne Regional Chamber partners in underserved communities/ demographics with the opportunity to join the Chamber thus diversifying our base while offering financial assistance and engaging programming exposure.
