BAC is pleased to announce the appointment of Julie Thompson, Director of Operations at Lotane & Associates, to the non-profit’s board of directors. Elected at the January Board meeting, Ms. Thompson has served as a member of the organization’s Industry Advisory Council since 2015.

“As an active volunteer, Workplace Campaign Manager and Community Impact Team member for United Way of Brevard, the mission of BAC resonates with me,” Thompson said.
Her compassion for people and her desire to give back extends countywide. Thompson was instrumental in establishing a daily corporate route for Lotane & Associates through Aging Matters of Brevard to ensure employees were able to engage with their community by delivering hot meals and wellness checks to local senior citizens.

“I’m honored to welcome Julie to our board of directors,” said Amar Patel, Chief Executive Officer and President of BAC. “As we implement our strategic plan, it is especially important that our board membership reflects the communities and families we serve. Julie’s family ties to Brevard County and her dedication to advancing the success of underserved communities adds invaluable leadership experience and perspective to our board and into furthering our mission.”

During the first decade of her career at AOL in Jacksonville and Orlando, Ms. Thompson earned her Six Sigma certification and attended the Harvard Manage Mentor Program prior to relocating to Brevard to be closer to family in 2006. Today, she is actively involved in the Collections industry and has been on the Board of Directors for Florida Collectors Association for the past 5 years prior to serving as their current Treasurer and Secretary.
