A local nonprofit, Brevard Heart Foundation, is seeking community nominations for its 2022 Heart of a Hero awards.

Nominations will be accepted until November 1st and selected honorees will be recognized and celebrated at a black tie gala at Hilton Melbourne at Rialto Place on April 7, 2022.

Any individual can submit a nomination for a healthcare professional in Brevard County. Nominations are accepted in both the private and public sector and include anyone working with patients or working to improve healthcare in our community. The awards are recognizing those serving our community on a daily basis and making a difference in the lives of our family, friends, colleagues, and neighbors. Travis Proctor, president of Brevard Heart Foundation shared “The Space Coast is home to many dedicated and compassionate healthcare workers – including doctors, nurses, paramedics, physician assistants, and technicians – and we want to honor them for everything they do for our community.”

Through their mission of supporting healthcare programs and initiatives that address community needs, as well as their annual scholarship program, Brevard Heart Foundation continues to invest in the future of quality healthcare on the Space Coast. Their work has impacted countless lives within the county and they’ve donated over $740,000 in scholarships to local students seeking healthcare degrees or certifications.
