On February 18, 2023, State Commandant of the Department of Florida, Lieutenant Colonel Scott Westervelt (USMC, retired), was proud to recognize BAC along with BAC employee and past Brevard County Detachment 513 Marine Commandant, Vincent Howard, for their generous support and donation to the 2022 Marine Corps League National Convention held in August at the Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort.
After a primary sponsor was unable to provide necessary supplies for the Marine Corps League’s National Convention, Mr. Howard, inquired if his employer, BAC, could assist in providing the needed supplies on such short notice. With strong ties to the veteran community due to the nature of their work with Federal AbilityOne contracts, BAC, assembled a cross functional team that worked together to secure the supplies which Mr. Howard brought to the conference. As a result, “over 800 Marines and their families gathered in Daytona Beach, FL and enjoyed an outstanding and memorable visit to the Sunshine State. Your donation was inspirational and deeply appreciated by the members of the Department of Florida and the Marine Corps League,” stated State Commandment Scott Westervelt.
